Delayed Hotline

Delayed Hotline allows you to call without dialing. Just pick up your phone and wait four seconds. The number is then dialed automatically.

To turn Delayed Hotline on:

  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Press “Star” key
  3. Press 5 then 3
  4. Enter your preferred hotline number
  5. Press “Hash” key
  6. Hang Up

Abbreviated Dialing

Abbreviated Dialing allows you to dial by using a one or two digit code. You can store up to 40 frequently dialed numbers, including national and international numbers.

Abbreviated Dialling - 8 Number Memory

Eight stored numbers can be retrieved by pressing one single digit code- you can store your frequently dialed telephone numbers from 2 through to 9.

Abbreviated Dialling - 40 or 60 Number Memory

For more than eight numbers, a two digit code applies from 20 through to 59 or 79.

  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Enter your code
  3. Press “Hash” key

  2. Press “Star” key
  3. Press 5 then 1
  4. Enter your code
  5. Enter your phone number
  6. Press “Hash” key
  7. Hang Up

To cancel a stored number in exchange memory:

  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Press “Star” key
  3. Press 5 then 1
  4. Enter your code
  5. Press “Hash” key
  6. Hang Up

Note: Abbreviated Dialing overrides Call Control, e.g. Call Control applies when storing the destination, but not when making calls using Abbreviated Dialing. 1 and # cannot be used as an Abbreviated Code. Monthly charge applies.

Smart Ring

Smart Ring is available on most tone phones with distinctive ring capability and excludes some cordless phones. If you want to identify calls from a certain area, just enter the area code.

Before using this feature you must activate your PIN on your home phone. This can help Persons With Disabilities especially the sight impaired to identify who the phone call is from without having to answer or look at the Calling Number Display.

To find out if Smart Ring is on or off:

  3. Voice Recording will confirm activation of this feature
  4. Hang Up

To add/change a number on a 'Smart Ring List':

To add/change a number on a Smart Ring List:
  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Dial * 8 7
  3. Dial pin *
  4. Voice Recording will confirm activation of this feature
  5. Assign ring code (1, 2 or 3)
  6. Dial *
  7. Voice Recording will confirm activation of this feature
  8. List Position
  9. Dial *
  10. Voice Recording will confirm position listed
  11. Dial Phone number to be assigned to selected ringtone
  12. Dial #
  13. Voice Recording will confirm activation of this feature
  14. Hang Up

To remove a number from a ‘Smart Ring List’:

To remove a number from a Smart Ring List:
  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Dial # 8 7
  3. Dial PIN *
  4. Voice Recording will confirm activation of this feature
  5. Select ring code to be removed (1, 2 or 3)
  6. Dial *
  7. Voice Recording will confirm selected ringtone to be reassigned
  8. Dial 1
  9. Voice Recording will confirm selected ringtone to be reassigned
  10. List Positioning
  11. Dial #
  12. Voice Recording will confirm selected ringtone removed
  13. Hang Up

To remove all numbers from a ‘Smart Ring List’:

To remove all numbers from a Smart Ring List:
  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Dial # 8 7
  3. Dial PIN *
  4. Voice Recording will ask you to select ring code (1, 2 or 3)
  5. Select ring code (1, 2 or 3)
  6. Dial *
  7. Voice Recording will confirm selection to be removed
  8. Dial 1 #
  9. Voice Recording will confirm removal
  10. Hang Up

Note: If the incoming call is not in one of your Smart Ring Lists, you will hear your standard ring sound.

  1. Lift the receiver
  2. Dial * # 8 7
  3. Dial PIN *
  4. Voice Recording will confirm command
  5. Dial ring code (1, 2 or 3)
  6. Dial *
  7. Voice Recording will confirm ring code selected
  8. List Position
  9. Dial #
  10. Voice Recording will confirm caller's number
  11. Hang Up
